Blind Sailing relies heavily on volunteers, both on and off the water volunteering with Blind Sailing can be extremely rewarding, sociable, and fun.  With Blind Sailing everyone learns together, as a volunteer you will be part of a team that empowers our sailors to grow and provide them with a safe environment to learn. 

 

The roles our volunteers carry out include:

 

• Sighted Racers

• Sighted Sailing Support

• Rib Drivers

• Rib Crews

• Coaches

• Organizing and coordinating groups

• Helping in the kitchen and supporting sailors off the water

• Guide Dog walkers

You do not need any experience of working with the visually impaired we can honestly say it will come naturally.   We provide coaching/training to support our volunteers.  There is also a chance for those volunteers to be selected to represent Blind Sailing at a World Championships, there is something for everyone.
